Nutriera was invited to attend India International Aquaculture Symposium

The India International Aquaculture Symposium of Profit on Aquaculture-5th edition was grandly held in Vishnu University on 11th to 14th February, 2017. Guangdong Nutriera Group was invited to attend and help organize Chinese topic seminar called Special Chinese Day. Dr. Zhang Song led another 3 experts of Nutriera to make wonderful reports accordingly.

Mr. Kamineni Srinivas, the Minister of Health and Medical Education from Andhra Pradesh made the opening speech. He said that the aquaculture breeding especially the shrimp farming is developing rapidly in India, which has greatly promoted the local economy and export trading. As the largest area for aquaculture breeding and feed production, Andhra Pradesh has been developing very fast in particular. As a result, it is more necessary to learn the advanced technology and experience from other countries actively to keep the development trend good and healthy. The symposium spot is in the breeding center of India. The local main enterprises have the responsibilities and obligations to promote the development of aquaculture industry. He showed the warm welcome to the experts of the whole world especially the Chinese who came to share the experience.

The symposium is the most influential international forum in India. It is a three-day conference with more than 30 famous professors and experts which come from China mainland, Taiwan, America, Thailand, European, Malaysia, Myanmar, India and some other countries or regions to give specific presentations. The presentations include the analysis of present situation and the future development trend for Indian aquaculture breeding, the introduction for Chinese and Southeast Asia aquaculture, the application of biological floc technology in prawn farming, EHP bowel sporozoan and AHPNS interactions for shrimp hepatopancrea degeneration, prawn parent seedling technique and management. The colorful and amazing presentations have attracted over 1000 participants.

On 13th February, Nutriera Group helped organize Chinese special topic seminar called Special Chinese Day as the highlight of the symposium. Dr. Zhang Song and another 3 experts of Nutriera together with the deputy Director of Chinese Academy of Science Institute Prof. Xie Shouqi, vice president of Shanghai Ocean University Prof. Li Jiale showed up to make speeches accordingly. They mainly shared the huge achievement and experience of Chinese aquaculture, which became the focal spot of the conference and gained strong response from the participants at the scene.

Prof. Xie shouqi made a detailed introduction about the current situation of Chinese aquaculture breeding and the future development trend, which aimed at providing some suggestions for India aquaculture breeding through Chinese years’ of development experience and advanced technology. The newest Chinese aquatic technology which he mentioned has aroused great interests from many technicians at the conference. Especially at the aspects of breeding species, farming patterns and feed technology, they all agree with the point that only through creative technology can maintain the culturing in feed industry.

Prof. Li Jiale of Shanghai Ocean University shared the present concept and pattern of water-saving freshwater culture in China and provide reference for India aquaculture breeding in particular by combining the current situation of shortage of agriculture water resource and underdevelopment of aquaculture facilities in India. Especially in the technical aspects of paddy field farming, he analyzed that the agriculture-based countries, such as India, the combination of rice cultivation and aquaculture can bring additional economic income to farmers.

Dr. Zhang Song of Nutriera Group shared the research and practical experience of white shrimp feed technology in recent 20 years, especially the protein substitution. He displayed Chinese shrimp feed technology and practical application vividly by a wonderful presentation. The professional presentation and amazing speech gained high praise from the participants.

India has the world’s second largest population. However, the amount of aquaculture is not matching. The traditional farming species and pattern exist great limitations. So it is quite necessary to introduce new species and pattern. Mr. Dong Qiufen of Nutriera Group shared the experience of the team members in assisting the Southeast Asian countries in the process of developing new varieties, which aroused huge interest from the participants. Though the prawn farming in India has developed rapidly, the disease problems and drug residues of recent 2 years have sounded an alarm to the local industry. Mr. Liu Ming of Nutriera Group promoted the healthy culturing concept by explaining the role of microecological agents in the anti-aquaculture process of Penaeus vannamei and the key practical points in the frontline service accumulated by the team members.

Mr. Wu Qiangliang emphasized the importance of QC system and techniques for improving and ensuring feed quality through introducing the quality control for feed lipid.
