Nigeria Aquatic Investment Delegation visited Nutriera

Dr. Chife and Dr. Funsho couple, the senior representatives from Nigeria Aquatic Investment Delegation visited Guangzhou Nutriera Biotechnology Co., Ltd from 24th to 28th of April, 2016. The General Manager Dr. Yang Yong and Manager of Overseas Department Mr. Dong Qiufen and other executives of Nutriera have fully participated in the reception. Dr. Funsho is Nigerian-born and American nationality M.D. Dr. Chife is the Doctor of Economic of United Kingdom who has worked for Apple Company for years. He is the guest of the current National President Buhari.

The existing population of Nigeria is 180 million. It is Africa's leading economy and the first big nation for Africa's population, economy and oil exports. Nigeria mainly depended on oil economy in the early years, but now attaches great importance to the development of agriculture and manufacturing after the current President Buhari took office.

During 11th to 15th of April, 2016, President Buhari had just visited China and got the high level reception from Chinese President Xi Jianping and other State leaders.

Nigeria is equipped with many good natural conditions for the aquaculture development and huge demand for aquatic products because of its yearly abundant rainfall and well-developed surface water system, but the development of aquaculture industry is terribly backward. The main purpose of Dr. Chife and Dr. Funsho Team’s visit to China this time is hoping to develop national aquaculture rapidly by making full use of advanced technologies and experience from China. They made a special trip to Guangzhou to visit Nutriera who has many years experiences and professional service in international Aquaculture Feed Enterprise to seek for cooperation opportunity.

Dr. Yang Yong, the President of Link Ocean Group as well as the General Manager of Nutriera led the technical team and the core members of Overseas Department to meet the Nigeria Delegation on 24th April. Both parties have had further discussion on the aquaculture development and prospect for two countries, the current development situation for feed industry and the consumption of aquatic products.

Mr. Dong Qiufen, the Manager of Overseas Department and Mr. Huang Shaoyu, the Regional Marketing Director have accompanied the Nigeria Delegation Team to visit tilapia aquaculture demonstration farm and clarias fuscus breeding demonstration farm of Jiangmen Haihe Feed Co., Ltd and Jiangmen Huipu Feed Co., Ltd. They got warm reception from Mr. Zhao and Mr. Hu accordingly. The development status and technology level of Chinese Feed enterprises and Aquaculture brought high praise from all the African members.
