Nutriera’s technical expert was invited to make a presentation in the FEED ADDITIVES ASIA 2018

The FEED ADDITIVES ASIA 2018 was held in Bangkok, Thailand on 16th ~18th May 2018. Around 300 delegates from more than 30 countries attended this conference. Mr. Dong Qiufen, the Director of International Business of Guangdong Nutriera Group, was also invited to attend and made a report in the conference.

The conference lasted for 3 days, and more than 50 industry experts from different countries shared the latest status and development, challenges and opportunities, difficulties and solutions, innovation and future of feed additives in the world. These reports had conducted further discussions on hot topics, such as quality and cost, functional feed, Antibiotic free feed, animal health, and food safety, etc., which provided prospective solutions for the healthy development of feed and animal husbandry industries.

Mr. Dong Qiufen made a report titled "Creating the Optimum Feed: Quality vs Cost". The report mainly includes three parts:1. Analyzed the importance of fishmeal-based marine ingredients for aquafeeds, as the global fishmeal production cannot be synchronized with the growth of global aquafeed, and the imbalance between supply and demand leads to high fishmeal price. And further expounded the current progress in the substitution of marine animal protein raw materials. 2. Comprehensively analyzed the five major challenges faced by feed mills when producing optimal cost-effective aquafeeds respectively: nutritional requirements, market competition, feed costs, raw materials and processing technology. 3. Summarized the current status of the use of additives in aquafeeds and recommended six comprehensive solutions for balancing the cost-efficiency of aquafeeds. It is recommended that we should pay more attention to the development of functional aquafeed. Providing products and technical services to truly help aquafeed enterprises and farmers.

After report, Mr. Dong Qiufen gave onsite answers that many listeners asked online through the SLIDO system. After the conference, he also conducted further discussions with experts around the world.
