​Nutriera and Lesaffre signed a Joint R&D Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On the morning of 10th April, 2020, the Joint R&D Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between Guangdong Nutriera Group (hereinafter referred to as Nutriera) and Phileo By Lesaffre (hereinafter referred to as Lesaffre) was grandly held at the headquarters of Nutriera. President Dr. Yong Yang and Vice President Dr. Song Zhang of Nutriera and Phileo China Director Mr. Martin Liu and China Aqua Business Manager Kenny Lin led their senior executive team members to attend the signing ceremony respectively.

The first phase of the R&D strategic cooperation between the two parties will be conducted in 2020-2022. Lesaffre will be responsible for the R&D expenditure, and Nutriera will implement the work in the aspects of R&D experiments, data analysis and marketing performance tracking through its powerful technical R&D platform and talents of aquaculture industry. At the same time, Nutriera R&D Center will maintain close contact with Lesaffre R&D Center to fully integrate the R&D resources of both sides and make full use of the advantages of each other. Both parties will focus on the pain points of aquaculture and technical innovation trend, including functional feeds, raw materials replacements, functional additives, animal health products to continuously strengthen the communication of R&D innovative projects and to achieve win-win cooperation.

Nutriera attached great importance to the technology R&D and innovation at the early stage of its establishment. It has set up long term scientific research cooperation relationships with over 10 well-known universities both at home and abroad, which including Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Pearl River Fisheries Research Institute, CAFS, Sun Yat-Sen University, Huazhong Agricultural University, South China Agricultural University and Guangdong Ocean University in China as well as Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Aquaculture Department of Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, and Asian Institute of Technology. Besides, Nutriera has built its own modernized experimental base in Zhuhai, China and established more than 10 joint R&D bases with customers of both domestic cities and overseas countries, such as Nantong of Jiangsu province, Wuhan of Hubei province, Nanchang of Jiangxi province, Huzhou of Zhejiang province, Taishan of Guangdong province and Nanning of Guangxi province in China, Hyderabad of India, Yangon of Myanmar, Dhaka of Bangladesh and Manila of the Philippines.

The newly-built Nutriera R&D Center in Zhuhai Industrial Park covers an area of 2,400 square meters. It is equipped with several technical centers, including aquaculture nutrition and farming, microecology, aquaculture seedling and aquatic food, which is a sign that Nutriera has set up the first-class R&D platform of aquaculture industry. In the future, Nutriera will increase the investment in the aspects of facilities, funds and researchers in technology and product R&D, and constantly improve the technical R&D system of the whole aquaculture chain involving seedling, farming, feeds and aquatic products processing. Thus, to achieve the mission of leading the healthy development of aquaculture and guarantee food nutrition & safety.
