On 15th to 17th March of 2018, AquaEx, India International Fisheries and Aquaculture Expo, organized by India's National Association of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Department of Fisheries Govt. of Telangana and Department of Fisheries Govt. of Andhra Pradesh was held in Hyderabad Hitex international conference and exhibition center of Telangana State. In addition to this seminar, the first Indian Comprehensive Fishery and Aquaculture Exhibition was also held.
The three-day seminar and exhibition attracted more than 50 international organizations and nearly 200 companies, around 1000 traders and more than 10,000 visitors. Nutriera Group’s technical experts team have been serving customers in India for many years and have made great contributions to the development of aquaculture in India, also were specially invited by the organizer.

Industry renowned experts from global have shared fascinating reports about international and Indian domestic aquaculture. For example, the world food prize honors laureate Dr. Gupta summarized the current situation of Indian aquaculture current conditions, changes and development potential, and analyzed how to keep the 2nd world aquaculture superpower status in the future. He especially emphasized that Indian population and economic development will decide the future of the huge consumption potential of aquatic products. World fisheries, senior advisor Dr. Rohana Subasinghe, analyzed the main Indian aquatic products structure and aquatic products consumption trend, combined with the current status of aquaculture in India, he pointed out that India needs to develop new breeding species, to enrich choices of the consumer market as well as the choice of farmers and farming income.

In recent years in India, enterprises and individuals have tried to introduce new farming species, also supported by government for research and publication, but limited to the lack of technical experience, high economic value new species development was slow.
